Cylindrical Mug With Blue Stripe

Rachel Carpenter has been a full time potter for the last 7 years. 

She loves making pots to be used – mugs, bowls, platters and vases and often experiments with texture and surface pattern using slips (coloured liquid clay) incorporating printing techniques such as paper stencils and resist. Rachel’s tableware is either thrown on the potters wheel or hand built using stoneware clay and glazes. This means everything is fired to a high temperature so the pieces are durable and watertight: they can be used in the microwave, dishwasher and oven.
